The American Pastry Chef Association (APCA) is a non-profit, non-stock corporation established to promote charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. These purposes encompass the study and advancement of both the art and science of food preparation and food service, as outlined in IRC § 501(c)(3).

The APCA’s primary objective is to unite pastry chefs within an organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of our craft. This includes creating networking and gathering opportunities for all its members. Additionally, the APCA seeks to establish partnerships with various sectors of the pastry and baking industry to achieve its mission.

To bridge the generational gap, the APCA aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences between older, more experienced chefs and younger members. Furthermore, the organization recognizes and involves the most dynamic members of the profession to mentor less experienced pastry chefs and apprentices.

The APCA engages in collaborative efforts with technical experts, food scientists, competitors, artists, health professionals, engineers, and business professionals to gain insights and guidance in adapting to the ever-evolving nature of the culinary industry.

Utilizing advanced communication technology, the APCA provides guidance to maintain and elevate the standards of the industry. It also shares information about employment opportunities and promotes sustainable practices across all aspects of the profession.
